Lost love - a letter

Updated: Mar 22, 2021

Dear little Elza,

I remember the numerous times we met, those little conversations we had, the way you calmed me down everytime I encountered a setback-the most precious words in my life-"turn your wounds into wisdom."

I had been reckless at work and in my private life-till you pushed me hard to be my best and achieve more. Oh, Elza, how I miss your advice!

I remember those days when you lay on my lap, groaning and pushing a hot water bag onto your abdomen. I sat there, caressing your face, not knowing how to pacify you or bring down the intense pain you had. I miss those rainy days when we cuddled up in bed and counted kisses. You cheered me up-you made my favorite pasta!

I miss your scent, that brash positivity you carried along, the radiant smiles that lighted my day.The jokes you cracked, the beautiful lines you penned, the way your hair fluttered in the breeze, those ever-excited,happy round eyes of yours-yes,I remember every inch of you.

I wish I could revive you, rescue your from this unfit cold-I can see you smiling dearly. These red roses I've brought-I know you deserve more and better, the best,my sweetheart.

Yours,

Davis
