In my recent write up, I discussed about the 5 AM Club and the Move.Reflect.Grow technique or the 20-20-20 technique. In this short write up, I am going to tell you about the advantages of rising early every day from now on.
In a Forbes magazine survey of a group of working people, only 2% woke up every day in between 4 AM and 6 AM. They were found to be highly salaried efficient businessmen in their professional life. This shows that you will accomplish more by just waking up earlier than usual. Moreover, having a to-do list at hand will ensure you a disciplined life.
Concentration levels are higher during this time of the day. People who wake up during this time of the day are proactive, highly focused and more satisfied with life.
The advantages of waking up early include:
A positive outlook for life
More energy hence more productive
Total body reboot
More organized
Healthy eating habits
Helps your skin look healthy and young
Better brain function
I might as well tell you about the how-to-do list of things that will aid you in waking up early:
Repeat the following affirmation for numerous times in your mind:
" I WILL AND I CAN WAKE UP AT 5 AM."
This will prepare your mind and body to wake up early the next day.
2. Focus on the brain food - your breakfast. At night, eat less of supper and drink more water. This will help you in waking up the next day with refreshing energy levels.
3. Keep your alarm clock at least 5 feet away from your bed. This is important because, if the alarm rings and it is easy to snooze it, you will go back to clutching your pillow and fall asleep. So, keep your alarm at a considerable distance so that you will walk to it and turn it off.
4. Keep a to-do list of things near your alarm clock. When you see it, you will naturally forget about your sleep and get prepared to work towards your goals.
5. Devote at least 5 minutes of your waking hours to doing meditation, pranayama, exercise or affirmation.
As I have told you in my recent write up, waking up early needs a strong willpower. I know you have it in you - rekindle the fire in you and achieve great heights!
